Octavia Spencer   Looks like Hollywood's A-list of leading ladies got the memo to wear red at tonight's 2014 Emmy Awards.  It's hard to keep count but clearly the color of passion ruled the red carpet as Hollywood's  stars posed for the photographers in their 2014 Emmy red-carpet dresses.   Octavia Spencer made a bold and beautiful entrance wearing her go-to designer Tadashi Shojii.   The actress's flawless taste, easy elegance and classic look.  Always a true fashion star especially on the red carpet at Hollywood award shows! January Jones from "Mad Men" admitted to reporters that she likes to take fashion risks.  This one paid off.  Her tea-length strapless  tomato red dress with a full skirt looked like it stepped right out of the decade portrayed in the show.  Just a hint of vintage but such a contemporary design ! January Jones in Red   Of course not everyone wore red.  White shone under the lights including Laverne Cox who looked striking. carpet. Gwen Steafani, in Versace, rocked the cameras in a silver hand beaded Swarovski gown with metallic bars across the plunging V-neck.  Not bad for her first time appearing on the red carpet! Laverne Cox   Julia Roberts incited a fashion roar when she arrived looking stunning  in a dark blue short dress with long sleeves by Elie Saab Couture.  On any other  46-year-old the design could have looked like a short prom dress.  But not on Roberts who pulled the unexpected look off with grace and style.
