Have you ever wondered what it's really like to be a plus size model? dressesAs a plus size formal and special occasion dress designer, our customers and followers consistently ask questions on what it takes to start a career as a curvy model. We even get requests on how we select the models that we use to showcase our gowns. To answer all of your plus size modeling questions, we're sharing exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpses of our latest photoshoot! We're giving you an exclusively look behind the scenes at our 2017 plus size prom dress shoot so that our fans can see the work that goes into creating the final looks that you see for our plus size prom, bridal, social and party dress collections.   The Sydney’s Closet design team spent countless hours getting ready for these important three days where we photographed the dresses for our upcoming 2017 Plus Size Prom Collections. Our team of producers, stylists, photographers, hair and makeup, and gorgeous models spent the long days in Hermann, MO - Missouri’s wine country - bringing to life our formal and cocktail length looks for our most glamorous collection of plus size occasion dresses yet!   acccollage Lindsey, our stylist, worked diligently up to the day of the photoshoot to find accessories and looks that would accentuate all the right curves and features of our dresses. With fabulous shoes from TouchUps by Benjamin Walk, glasses from Warby Parker, jewelry from many different vendors and purses provided by Cameo de Boré our Sydney's Closet style was on point!   Being in Hermann was such a treat for all of us. We had access to a large ballroom, kitchen and the majestic countryside. We were able to use the natural light and other ballroom features to create sets and backgrounds for editorial shots. The huge space was great but created a concern for dressing rooms, accessories, and hair/makeup. We were able to use the dress racks as a pop-up dressing room to give our models some privacy but enough space to get in and our of our gowns especially the princess ballgowns)! dressing room Our entire fashion design team was on-site to see our upcoming dress designs strut, twirl, and sashay for what has to become our product images and editorial shots for our curvy customers. These images will be used on social media, various websites and are provided to our Authorized Retailers as a tool to pick their perfect dress for prom, homecoming, galas, and weddings. Photography for plus size is especially important to us, because our clients need to be able to visualize how each dress will fit their unique curves and body type. Our dress designs are especially created with curves in mind!   This photoshoot was especially touching for our team. All three of our stunning plus size models shared their stories of missing their own high school proms. This was a fun opportunity to experience all of the pampering and glam of going to prom – very much like a prom do-over!   bts We're so excited to show you the collection that we're taking you behind the scenes of our fashion shoot, for a glimpse in the life of a plus size model and fashion industry insider!
