Donate Your Gowns To A Great Cause

As school is ready to get back into session, many teens and women throughout the world are cleaning out their closets for the new school year. In addition to fabulous clothing to donate, your gently used homecoming, prom and formal gowns are a great way to give back to your community. We have been in communication with an amazing organization and wanted to help our readers find a way to donate your gowns to a great cause. OGS Donated DressesOperation Glass Slipper is a non-profit organization devoted to high school girls throughout the northern Midwest. The organization works diligently to provide prom gowns and accessories at no charge to girls living with financial or family situations that would prove difficult for them to attend such an event. Each year in the middle of March OPS dressed over 1,000 beaming girls at the annual fundraiser named The Princess Event. Founded in 2006 OPS distributes dresses, shoes and accessories for these young ladies eager to dress up for prom. The mother-daughter team, Pam and Emily Philipp, started OGS to provide for girls in need from their hometown. Sydney's Closet is spotlighting OGS as they are heavily depended upon donations of dresses. They accept dresses any time of the year. Some statistics include:ogs 2015 statistics In 2007, OGS outfitted 550 girls at Southdale Mall. In 2008, OGS outfitted 700 girls at the Mall of America.
