Trend alert! Black is back big time on the red-carpet as celebrities opt for the timeless color at the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards. This isn't your Mother's slimming black evening gown. Nothing boring about the way Hollywood stars wear black dresses in 2013! Take Anne Hathaway, who won best supporting actress for her role in Les Miserables. She accepted her award in a chic and fresh Giambattista Valli Haute Couture formal. You have to say it was sheer genius to dress her child-like frame in a design with veiled tea-length skirt and mesh neckline. Michelle Dockery, joining her fellow actors from the button-down cast of Downton Abbey, turned heads in a black dare-to-bare- it- all vintage gown by designer Chado Ralph Rucci. From the side, the design left nothing to the imagination. Tina Fey belted an Oscar de la Renta evening gown for a classic look with a modern twist. Kelly Osbourne looked elegant and oh-so sophisticated in a body-hugging black dress by Jenny Packham. Of course, some stars opted for other colors. Kate Flannery, from The Office, wore a deep turquoise sequin gown, with just a hint of green. You have to call the color choice as an ideal hue to highlight her red hair. Katrina Bowden wore a Badgley Mishka gown in a dove gray with just the right hint of vintage styling. Helen Hunt glowed in a beaded gown by Romona Keveza that echoed the glory of Hollywood's silver screen goddesses. What do you think of this recurring trend?
