What is an A-line Dress Design?

A classic plus size A-line formal dress is a silhouette that features a fitted bodice that tapers to a natural waistline then a wide full skirt that gradually flares out more at the bottom. The dress earns its name because when the style is completely finished, the skirt takes on the shape of the letter "A".
