Sydney's Closet Wins “Best Plus Size Fashion Award” from International Prom Association

Sydney’s Closet, designer and manufacturer of plus-size special occasion dresses, has won the 2018 “Best Plus Size Fashion Award” from the International Prom Association (IPA).

The award was presented at IPA’s annual black-tie gala and fundraiser held at the AmericasMart in Atlanta, Georgia.  Heather Siegel of the The Ultimate shop in Peabody, MA handed the award to Phyllis Brasch Librach, head designer and president of Sydney’s Closet.

“This is for all the curvy girls and women Sydney’s Closet has helped - and will help -  look glamorous when they dress up for life’s special occasions”, Librach told the standing-room-only audience of manufacturers, designers and retailers from the Prom, Pageant, Bridal and tuxedo industry.

Librach thanked the IPA members, retailers who partner with top prom and pageant manufacturers, for voting to award Sydney’s Closet this top honor.

“We faced stiff competition to take this honor,’’ said Librach. “The success of Sydney’s Closet happens only because of the exceptional shops who partner with us.  So we share this award with all the store owners and their staffs who embrace our passion for sizing up glamour. We couldn’t have done it without you!”

International Promise Foundation

The gala also raised money for the International Promise Foundation,  a non-profit organization that supports teens and their families by encouraging young women to express their true beauty and providing beautiful gowns to those in need. IPA promotes their mission with the BeYOUty Campaign to remind girls to: “Love who you are!  Always be you! There’s nothing more beautiful!”
