The 2015 AMAs

The 2015 AMAs

Last night the American Music Awards (#AMAs) hosted their 43rd annual award ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles, California. The AMAs are decided by fan voted! We couldn't miss the #redcarpet fashion extravaganza which had everything from sexy formal pant suits and leotards to backless gowns and even an octopus. See how our office ranked the best and worst dresses dresses fashions from the 2015 AMAs.

The Best and Worst Dressed of the 2015 AMAs

The Best

demi lovato     Demi Lovato looked classic and sophisticated at the AMAs last night in a beautiful camo-inspired gown by Lorena Sarbu. Her stunning gown was perfectly paired with retro waves and sultry, dark lips. And we loved her tribute performance with Alanis Morisette - classic.                     We liked the red carpet look from Meghan Trainor. The slimming and flattering meghan trainorblack gown was a very elegant choice and the train added a great step-and-repeat photo opportunity. Her performance with Charlie Puth, on the other hand, was something we could have missed.           carrie underwoodCarrie Underwood looked like a whimsical fairy in her short, strapless Eli Madi gown with a shimmery cape. While the cape is a little overbearing, it works for Ms. Underwood.                           fergie Fergie, a name that we haven't heard in a long time, looked absolutely stunning on the red carpet at the 2015 AMAs. Her super high slit showed her sexy side while the covered halter gown and natural styling showed her sophisticated side. The Halston Heritage gown is a definite inspiration.

The Worst

Hannah Davis and Gwen Steffani oped for the leotard look. Davis' look, showed a little too much of everything and left little to the imagination. The sheer silver color looked like a winter wonderland photo shoot and not a red carpet. For Staffani - what was she thinking? While her kooky Yousef Al Jasmi gown covered more of her bodice with a cape overlay, the fishnet sheer fabric just looked uncomfortable. The thick black collar did not match the outfit (or the night). On the plus side - her makeup and hair were flawless.   gwen steffani     jenny mccarthyJenny McCarthy looked as if she was stuck in the 1960s and looked a little more elf then red carpet. The boots and dress didn't match and her bleach blonde hair, all-be-it not natural, blended into her skin color. This was all wrong from the start.                           z lala Z Lala definitely made a statement on the red carpet and may be the most memorable look at the 2015 AMAs (for all the wrong reasons). He ode-to-Ursula looked more like a Halloween costume gone wrong then a red carpet, glamour look. Our staff did like the color combination though. Prom 2017?

The In between

rebel wilsonRebel Wilson chose a very shinny silver knee-length dress with a candy purse. While we love rebel, we felt as though the dress accented the wrong assets. We would love for her to wear one of our gowns!                       While some loved Ciara's 2015 AMAs red carpet look, our staff was not impressed. ciaraThe black lace over powered the entire dress and, with long sleeves, a long gown and a high neck we did not feel as if the dress full flattered her amazing figure. It also looked like a pant suit that had been ripped up the side. And, maybe it is just the image but, she does not look comfortable.
